Yesterday was the last day I wore glassess....

Sweet!

So this morning I was allowed to take of the bandages and the eye cap. Ka ching, I'm already able to see 95% of what I was able to se with contacts. And I got the lens 18 hours ago so I'm still adjusting to it. Vision wil probably improve for anoher week! The only downside a this point I'am not able to focus to objects any closer than 30 - 40 cm from my eye. But what the hell I'm totally frecking happy with my sight so far. Really curious to as to how perfect it will get. I guess we'll know within a couple of weeks..

bye!

About the Artiflex implants and my visit to the KMA

It's been a month. I know, I'm sorry.

I've got this job where you work behind a computer screen seven hours a day. That doesn't realy motivate you to sit behind your own pc screen at home I guess.

But let's stop the bitching and let me tell you what I've been up to the last month.

First of all I've been working my ass of to make money for the eye-surgery next monday. Yes it's going to happen in a week! My first (the right) eye will be implanted with a Artiflex lens.

The second lens will be implanted next week's thursday. I just finished transferring the amount. It costs me 4100,- euro's. That's $ 5215,- . Hell that's a lot of money! I guess it's worth it.

Last saturday I went to the KMA ( Royal Military Academy ) for some info about officer training for the Koninklijke Marechaussee.

What the Koninklijke Marechaussee does:

De Koninklijke Marechaussee heeft een gevarieerd takenpakket. Hier vindt u een willekeurig gerangschikt overzicht inclusief de omschrijvingen van de diverse taken die de KMar zowel in binnen als buitenland zo succesvol mogelijk probeert te volbrengen.

(If you'd like a translation please contact me, The KMar's main task is providing policing services to the army. Providing border security and provide protection to the Queen and her family.)

The captain I spoke to and me, both agreed that the regular police force is probably a better choice for me. Bit of a shame though I liked the military status of the KMar.

I'll post again soon, before I go into surgery next monday.

Greets,

Arne
